Iron Max
A potent aid for anemia due to iron deficiency
Iron Max contains an innovative microencapsulated iron system that provides a tasteless, non-pro-oxidative, and bioavailable source of iron.
Iron Deficiency
Iron deficiency or anemia is a condition characterized by a lower-than-normal number of red blood cells or a reduced concentration of hemoglobin within them. Hemoglobin is essential for carrying oxygen, and when there are too few or abnormal red blood cells, or not enough hemoglobin, the blood’s ability to deliver oxygen to the body’s tissues is diminished. This leads to symptoms such as fatigue, weakness, dizziness, and shortness of breath, among others. The optimal hemoglobin concentration varies based on factors such as age, sex, altitude, smoking habits, and pregnancy status.
The most common causes of anemia include nutritional deficiencies, particularly iron and folate deficiencies. Iron deficiency and iron- deficiency anemia are global health problems leading to deterioration in patients’ quality of life and more serious prognosis in patients with chronic diseases. The cause of iron deficiency and anaemia is usually a combination of increased loss and decreased intestinal absorption and delivery from iron stores due to inflammation.
Advanced Supplement with High Absorption and Stomach-Friendly Formula
A complete formula with microencapsulated iron
Essential Nutrients for Optimal Health
Iron Max provides excellent absorption, preserves nutrients, and is gentle on the stomach, without irritating the mucosa or altering stool color.
-
Microencapsulated iron pyrophosphate andiron gluconate are characterized by having no gastrointestinal side effects when administered and by being highly bioavailable.
- Vitamin C acts as an antioxidant, helping to protect cells from the damage caused by free radicals. The body also needs vitamin C to make collagen. In addition, vitamin C improves the absorption of iron from plant-based foods and helps the immune system work properly to protect the body from disease.
- Folic acid. A deficiency of folic acid can result in macrocytic megaloblastic anaemia and usually results from chronic alcoholism, malabsorption disorders, hemolytic anaemia, or increased requirement during pregnancy.
Overcome Anemia with Clinically Proven Results
Objective:
In a clinical study conducted on a food supplement formulated with microencapsulated iron, vitamin C, and folic acid, its ability to increase hemoglobin and hematocrit levels was evaluated. Thirty postmenopausal female subjects were enrolled in an open, multi-center study. The participants suffered from iron deficiency anemia (hemoglobin < 11.5 g/dL) and had previously been treated with other iron supplements or medications but experienced side effects.
Results:
The results of this study showed a significant improvement in the mean hemoglobin and hematocrit levels between the beginning and the end of the study.
Moreover, problems with adherence limit the effectiveness of iron supplementation programs, with reports suggesting adherence rates of 40-60% in the treatment and prevention of iron deficiency anemia.
Objective:
A clinical study conducted to evaluate the effect of iron, vitamin C, and folic acid supplementation on a female group, Subgroup 1 was supplemented with iron and folic acid daily, while Subgroup 2 was supplemented with iron, folic acid, and vitamin C daily, for a period of 100 days. Both the control and experimental groups were monitored over this period, with hemoglobin measurements taken at the start of the study, at 30 days, and at 100 days.
Results:
Effect on anemia severe:
- After the interventions, at 100 days, the of moderate and severe anemia decreased from 72% to 36% and from 13% to 10.28%, respectively.
Effect on hemoglobin level:
- The daily iron/folic acid supplementation in Subgroup 1 resulted in a significant change in mean hemoglobin levels at both 30 days and 100 days, with improvements of 0.94 g/dL and 2.72 g/dL, respectively.
- In Subgroup 2, the addition of vitamin C along with iron/folic acid supplementation also led to significant improvements, with increases of 1.6 g/dL at 30 days and 4.36 g/dL at 100 days.
